Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting
Energy budgets, cost forecasts and reporting on spend and usage.
What it means
An energy budget estimates what electricity will cost over a coming period. It is built from historical usage, the contracted rate, expected delivery charges and any portion of the load exposed to market prices.
Reporting is what keeps that budget honest: tracking actual spend and usage against the forecast, by location, so that a change shows up as a number rather than as a surprise at year end.
What reporting typically covers
- Spend and usage by location and by period
- Actual cost against budget, with the variance explained
- Contract end dates across the portfolio
- Demand and load patterns that drive cost
- Usage data for sustainability or internal reporting
Our role
