FAQ

Questions we hear often.

If yours isn’t here, call 832-583-1800 or send your bills and ask.

Is Radiant Energy Partners an electricity supplier?

No. Radiant Energy Partners is an energy management company. We work with suppliers on your behalf through competitive procurement.

Will switching suppliers interrupt my power?

No. Your local utility continues to deliver the electricity and handle outages. Switching changes who you buy the power from, and it takes effect on your normal meter read date.

What is a reverse auction?

A bidding process where qualified suppliers compete for your business and prices move down as they bid against each other, instead of you collecting a single quote.

What is the difference between a broker and energy management?

Brokerage means arranging a supply contract. Energy management covers the rest of the program: when and how you buy, auditing the bills that follow, budgeting and reporting, and managing contracts across locations over time.

I’m already under contract. Can you help?

Yes. Send us your bills and we’ll review your current situation. Planning ahead of your contract’s end date gives you more options when it’s time to renew.

What do you need to get started?

Your energy bills. Send them through the form on this site and we’ll respond within one business day.

What does the review cost?

Nothing. The bill review is free.

Do you work outside Texas?

Yes. We work with businesses in the United States, Mexico, Canada and parts of Europe where applicable.

What is a demand charge?

A charge based on your highest measured rate of electricity use during a billing period, rather than your total consumption. Two businesses using the same number of kilowatt-hours can pay very different demand charges depending on how concentrated their usage is.

What is a REC?

A Renewable Energy Certificate represents the environmental attributes of one megawatt-hour of electricity generated from a renewable source. Businesses buy and retire RECs to support renewable electricity claims.
